Yes indeed, exams are next week! I'm so glad this quarter is ending. No more chemistry forever! Yay! Next quarter I'm taking ornithology (even though its at fucking 7:30 in the morning and it's about 2 miles from where I live so I have to bus there) and I'm also taking organismal biology and intro to printmaking. I'm not a huge printmaking person, but I want to take the intro class because my favorite art prof teaches the upper-level printmaking classes and I want to have him as my teacher again. Besides, there's no harm in expanding your horizons, and I since I've been doing black-and-white drawings lately it should be good. So, be on the lookout for my prints to be posted!

Anyways, art's been going well. I've been needle felting a bit...I felted the figure from Giorgio de Chirico's "The Seer" Painting. It turned out pretty well, for only my 3rd needle felting endeavor. I'm also spontaneously drawing and I have a few ideas down on paper...they'll never get finished probably, since I never seem to redraw things once I do a rough sketch of them and leave it for awhile. One of them I want to make into a painting but I'm a lazy painter and I get bored too easily with it, so I doubt that'll happen.

That's definitely something about art that I struggle with...I can never seem to work on something for a really long period of time. I have to start the official sketch the moment I draw the rough sketch and work on it consistently for the next few days otherwise it doesn't go anywhere. I guess I'm impatient? It just leaves me feeling like so many ideas get wasted or fade away. Sigh... I guess that happens to a lot of artists. Sigh.
